The new hotel will be beautifully situated on the border between the town and the beach, acting as a link between town life and the scenic dune areas. The vision is to create a hotel where the buildings blend harmoniously with the landscape.
Staggered buildings in natural terrain
The hotel buildings are positioned with respect for the natural, dynamic terrain of the area. Therefore, the buildings will vary in height and be staggered in relation to each other, with special consideration for the experience from both the dune area, Sydvej and Vejers Havvej.
The thatched roof is a natural and aesthetic choice for the hotel. The early summer houses in the area were traditionally built with thatch, just as the original hotel had a thatched roof. Thatch is an environmentally friendly material that fits in well both visually and culturally with the landscape and is particularly well suited to the harsh environment of the west coast.
The intention is to create a seaside hotel where the buildings blend into the terrain and enhance the qualities of the landscape.
The plans for the hotel are ambitious:
- Hotel with restaurant
- 29 rooms with space for 2 people
- 12 villas with space for 4 people and their own spa on the terrace
- 7 villas with space for 6 people and their own spa on the terrace
- Outdoor wellness area with spa and sauna
